Things we love, things we don't

Things we love: Isabelle's bouncer

Miss Isabelle spends much of her day musing the world around her whilst in her bouncer. We spent a lot of time researching while I was pregnant, as we wanted a bouncer that had something nice to look at, was cosy, played music, and vibrated. The Fisher Price Woodsy Friends bouncer, which we bought from Argos, met all of those needs. But little did we know when we bought it how much we'd come to rely on it! In fact, we ordered a second to send to my inlaws for when we went to stay, and my sister in law has already said she is borrowing it for her next child, as hers isn't as 'cosy'!

Izzy had her first go in the bouncer as soon as we brought her home from the hospital, and I honestly don't know how we'd live without it. She sits in it while she watches me shower, clean or tidy up, and it's the main place she naps during the day - so it must be comfy! The vibrate helps her nod off, and we can bounce it with our feet as we lounge nearby. It's a godsend to allow me to eat lunch, dry my hair, and just have a few minutes to accomplish something! One battery has lasted us two months, even though we often forget to turn the vibrate off when we leave the house.

Isabelle enjoying her bouncer:

The only downside is the music. The 'music bar' has three toys, which Izzy is just now starting to take real notice of. Pull on the owl and the music will play....but there are only two tunes. Simon and I will be sent to a mental home before she grows out of it listening to them over and over again! A few more simple songs would really add something, and would be much preferable to the hoots of the owl.
Overall, a wonderful piece of equipment which I couldn't live without. I dread the day when she grows out of it...
